The Radiation Therapy Department of Peking University Shenzhen Hospital was established on November 1, 2017. The linear accelerator room was officially opened in September 2019, and patients were admitted and radiation therapy services were provided in April 2020.
The department is divided into two parts: radiation therapy area and ward, and is equipped with artificial intelligence and precision radiation therapy laboratory. The ward is equipped with 30 standard beds, and the radiation therapy area covers an area of 928 square meters. The environment is clean, bright, warm and comfortable, full of humanistic care. The radiotherapy department has a professional technical team with rich clinical experience, continuous improvement in professionalism, and enthusiastic service to patients. There are a total of 45 medical, material, technical, nursing, research and auxiliary personnel, including 9 doctors and 6 masters. There are currently 10 clinical doctors (1 chief physician, 3 deputy chief physicians, 3 attending physicians, and 3 resident physicians), 6 physicists, 12 radiation therapists, 12 clinical nursing staff, and 2 postdoctoral fellows. The team members all come from well-known domestic and foreign universities and large radiation therapy centers, with high levels of clinical diagnosis, treatment, and scientific research.
The department currently has Varian Truebeam linear accelerator, Varian Trilogy linear accelerator, Siemens Definition AS OPEN large aperture CT simulation positioning machine, Varian GammaMedplus iX close range posterior treatment machine, 6 sets of Varian Eclipse 15.6 treatment planning system, 12 sets of Varian doctor workstations, and Varian Mobius Many high-precision and cutting-edge equipment, including quality control systems, Varian Velocity image delineation and registration systems, medical intelligent imaging artificial intelligence automatic delineation systems, Sunnucleus 3D water tank, Delta4 treatment plan verification system, PTW Unidos Webline absolute dose meter, Sunnucleus IC profiler field analyzer, SRS Mapcheck stereotactic treatment plan verification system, etc., have a complete quality control system and can carry out all radiation therapy technologies, including HyperArc one click high-resolution radiosurgery, image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), 3D conformal radiation therapy (3DCRT), stereotactic radiation therapy, 3D close range afterloading therapy (including implantation) and other technologies.
